I’m Lisa Marie the founder of Midwest Treats. I’m a work-from-home mom from Okawville, Illinois. My little family moved from the East Coast to the Midwest a little over 10 years ago. I’ve been baking ever since I was a teenager. Although I was off to a rocky start. My poor brownies were so hard they were used as weapons. True story. I’ve come a long way though. Most of my jobs were in the food/hospitality industry so I’ve learned quite a bit along the way.
I love recreating old favorites and experimenting with all of the trendy treats from back home. If it’s trending on social media you can bet that I’m either working on it or planning to. Because of this my menu changes often. I also like switching up the menu every season to keep things fresh and exciting. Everything is made from scratch and baked fresh the day of delivery/pick up. While Midwest Treats operates from a home kitchen, I do operate as a registered LLC with a ServSafe Manager Certification and Home Kitchen Permit from my county health department. An apron, head scarf, and even gloves are used during production. Please note that we do NOT use latex gloves.
As of January 2023 we now have an online shop full of products that you can use to create your own treats! Such as cookie stencils, cake/cupcake/box toppers, molds, and tools. Cookie stencils and toppers are all made by me. Molds and tools are not made by me. These are items that I use personally and love.
The recipes, logo, website and photos are all my own works. I limit the use of filters and Photoshop so that you get a clear visual of what you’re ordering. I truly put my all into all that I do. If you have any questions at all, feel free to
