Sangria and Piña Colada Cupcakes

This weekend I added 2 new cupcakes to the treats page! I brought back the Sangria Cupcake, but made a few small changes. I did away with the fresh fruit topping and instead opted for a candied orange peel. The candied orange peel still provides the Sangria Cupcake with that fresh and fruity taste without the messy fresh fruit/buttercream combination.

I don’t recall officially adding Piña Colada Cupcakes to my menu, but I have tested this recipe quite a bit before settling on this version. The homemade pineapple filling is what really sets this cupcake apart from the others. I’m very pleased with the outcome.

I’m eventually going to separate the cupcakes into sections so that my cocktail line will have its own section. I love the cocktail cupcakes! They’re so much fun to make and even more fun to eat!

I might finally offer cupcakes in 1/2 dozen as well as the full dozen. So be on the lookout for that as well.
